The solo performance is one of the most demanding and risky tests for an artist, a moment in which talent, maturity and balance effect the music itself.
Pasquale Mirra, boasts prestigious national and international collaborations – for example the duo with drummer Hamid Drake (to whom a composition is dedicated). Mirra chooses the solo as a moment of reflection not only musically but also personally.
Recorded in Pisa during the Fonterossa Day #2 in 2016 Moderatamente Solo presents all the facets, creative abilities, and improvisational sensibility of the vibraphonist, who almost subtly tells us his private emotions and visions.
In a unique aesthetic rigor, as in a religious rite, Mirra - who is composer of six of the tracks - draws an introverted path that goes into the depths of sounds and feelings.

Moderatamente Solo is made of nine moments of poetry, a successful and engaging performance in which the artist magically managed to balance all of the elements of his coloristic and emotional palette, transforming it into a true document of contemporary music
